APS Title I Story Time in the Park 2021 runs June 7 – July 15. Teachers will distribute books at the parks Monday – Thursday and lunch is served Monday – Friday between 11:30am – 1:00pm. Click on the link below for more details.

    finding ebooks and audiobooks in our tvccs destiny catalog

    1. Go to the APS Libraries section in your ClassLink account (log into my.aps.edu using your APS username and password).
    2. Click on the Library Catalog which takes you to our TVCCS Destiny Discover library catalog.
    3. Another way to find our library catalog is through library.aps.edu (link above). Find our school in the K-8 section. Once you are in Destiny Discover, click "Log In" and enter your APS username and password.
    4. Scroll down to the eBook section. If you would like to see our entire eBook collection, click "see all". If you would like to just briefly look at a book, click "open". If you would like to enjoy the book for a longer period of time, click "check out". 
    5. If a book has a sideways 8 (infinity) multiple users (even a whole class) can check out the book at the same time.
    6. If you would like a digital audiobook, look for the audiobook section on the Destiny Discover page. Click "see all" so view the entire collection. You can "play" the book or click "check out" if you plan to listen to the book over a longer period of time.
    7.  Please make sure to click "close book" or "return" the book when you are finished to make sure other readers can use the book after you.

    TVCCs Library Mission

    The mission of Tres Volcanes Community Collaborative School Library is to provide students with positive experiences of the library through relevant, exciting, and engaging literacy activities that include all the resources of the library. We will work to foster in our students a lifelong love of reading and learning, help them develop an ability to think critically and become informed and compassionate citizens, and encourage them to become skilled users of ideas and information.

    Josh Benjamin has been an educator for most of his adult life and an elementary school librarian for over 20  years. He received the New Mexico Library Association's award for Outstanding Elementary School Librarian. He worked on building the Tres Volcanes Library's amazing materials collection and is excited to share some wonderful books and experiences with Tres Volcanes students.     Natasha Carty was a children's librarian with a Master's degree in Library Science for over ten years in Connecticut and Maryland. After moving to New Mexico she became a teacher for ten years and taught first through fifth grade. She is a National Board Certified Teacher.
